One of the best finishes ever. Ever. This girl can run. Strong closer. If you missed it, watch this. Last time a filly won the Belmont was 1905 I think, before that 1867. So its a rare event.

I never miss a triple crown race.I was rootin' for her from the git go.Glad she won.And it was a great finish.Speaking of triples and horse racing, your post brought back another memory that made me chuckle.I think it was in the late 90's.Greg Maddox, the pitcher, at that time for Atlanta, hit a ball to the outfield. He took off running from homeplate, lumbered around first, lumbered around second and headed for third. When he made it safely to third for a triple, the announcer said "Ladies and gentlemen, besides the Kentucky Derby, you have just witnessed the greatest 2 minutes in sports."(not verbatim)
Husband to a beautiful wife, father to a beautiful daughter, student of the discipline of history and one hell of a fisherman. Oh yeah and sometimes I pimp art.
