Black people should get over slavery, that was so 140 years ago already!

Open mouth insert foot. Is it me or have the racists out there been more than a little stupid in what they say these past few years? Shame all over this asshole muncher.

Being as I'm a white American I'm sure I understand nothing about this topic but at the risk of getting really crusified by you I'm gonna make a statement and ask a question or two.
If the time and energy wasted on this appology were spent on helping the Katrina victoms we'd all be better off.
What good is this going to do for the black americans today. Will it make them any more free or equal? probably not.
Will it change the feelings of those white americans that still harbour racist attitudes towards blacks? probably not.
Will it help those in poverty and on drugs to overcome? probably not.

I believe there are still deep rooted issues that need to be overcome, but we need to work on attitudes through education, not feel goods.
