I can't pimp Jim Rapp enough. Here is a MSN article about Jim and his love of birds. Ever since Jimmy left the Salisbury Zoo, I felt his impact on promoting Delmarva was going to be significant. See thats the thing about Jimmy, his zeal for the area can draw national attention. He has that much love for Delmarva. His job as a zookeeper was good, but it never allowed him to stretch his wings and really get into the things he was interested in. Being tied to the zoo and all the responsibilities that came with it was weighing the dude down. See I know Jimmy from a outdoor, canoe, birdwatching fun kind of way. When I saw him at the zoo, it was in a "I'm at work" kind of way. Now it seems he found a place that work allows him to promote his love of the outdoors with a zeal he could not express at the zoo. The zoo's loss was DELITE's gain. I, for one, miss Jim Rapp at the zoo, but I'm glad that he's doing something that speaks to his soul.
Jim Rapp is the sort of person who can shine, no matter where he is.
